West Coast Equine Reproduction Symposium

West Coast Equine Reproduction SymposiumThe West Coast Equine Reproduction Symposium is held as a supporting meeting and fundraiser for the International Symposium on Equine Reproduction. This latter symposium is normally held every four years, but has been delayed from its scheduled year of 2022 (the last having been held in Cambridge, UK in 2018) until next year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now scheduled to be held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, July 25-29, 2022.

The West Coast Equine Reproduction Symposium which has been held once every 4 years since 2001 in Solvang, California was held virtually this year, on November 5th and 6th. The two days were divided into four topical sections – non-pregnant mare,  pregnant/parturium/post-parturium mare, stallion, and assisted reproduction. In addition to the main presentations, there were a variety of supplemental lectures on assorted topics from within the same categories. The video presentations were pre-recorded and will remain accessibly to subscribers until January 3rd, 2022.

In a special twist relative to Equine-Reproduction.com, LLC, we were thrilled to see that no fewer than fourteen of the presenters were members of the EquineRepro Facebook Group which we created and manage!

More information about the WCERS can be found on their Facebook Page.
